How to Check Website Backlinks Pointing Anchor in Ahrefs

The clickable text of an HTML hyperlink is the anchor text or link text. Its purpose is to inform website users and search engines about the content of the linked page or resource.

The name "anchor" comes from older versions of the HTML standard, where the "a" element (now commonly called a "hyperlink") was called an "anchor". When images are used as links, Google uses the image's alt text as the link's anchor text.

The Anchor report displays all backlink anchor text leading to a specific website, URL, or subsection. The Outgoing Anchors report displays the anchors of all internal and external connections to a specific website, URL, or subsection.

Nofollow internal links tell Google not to crawl your website's content and can prevent the transfer of link equity. Just add a nofollow filter to find them. Change to Internal Links, then sort the report by the number of internal links from high to low.
